Siwan Court of Bihar has sentenced four accused to 20 years of imprisonment in a gang rape case and also imposed a fine of 50 thousand rupees. On Saturday, 22 June, Siwan ADJ-1 court sentenced a total of four accused to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in a gang rape case. It is worth noting that this verdict has come after three years of trial. Not only this, a fine of 50 thousand rupees has also been imposed, which if not paid, will result in an additional punishment of one year.
According to the information, the four convicts who have been sentenced by the Siwan ADJ-1 court in the gang rape case were accused in the incident that took place in Raghunathpur police station area. The police had registered case number 73/2021 under section 376 IPC, 3(I)(r)(s) SC-ST Act. The four accused in the case, Chandan Rajbhar, Abhishek Rajbhar, Sandeep Rajbhar and Shashi Rajbhar are residents of Mahrauli village of Raghunathpur police station area. All the accused were already arrested. After hearing them for three years in the Hon’ble Court, today the ADG-1 court has found them guilty and sentenced them to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.
